A couple of opportunities have have arisen recently just from me being present in certain spaces, which is really exciting. I was hesitant to sign up for either of them, as I was concerned about having adequate time to prepare work - but I think that I need to make the most of these opportunities whilst I can.
The first is an art market in Leeds, primarily organised by Beau! I'm viewing this as a good opportunity to meet other creatives in the Leeds space, and I'd really like to create some promotional material for my novel. This could be stickers, small prints/postcards, bookmarks etc.
I also have the opportunity to participate in an open studio event (Open Studios Notts) at a space in Retford where I have a studio and occasionally volunteer. It's a local art hub that houses a number of practitioners and has a shop below. I joined the space in February because I wanted to connect with more local artists and be involved with more events. This open studio event is in partnership with the Retford Library too, so I think this could be a great way to forge some new connections.

This won't be taking place until May - 13th, 20th and 27th, so I have a good amount of time to prepare.
