Thunberg, G. (2021) No one is too small to make a difference. New York: Penguin Books.
Read this due to my interest in climate change/action and how I believe my practice should be striving towards being carbon neutral or negative wherever possible.
This book is a short collection of Thunberg's speeches, in which she is trying to get people to wake up and respond to the urgent climate crisis. "I want you to act as though our house is on fire. Because it is."
I plan to use narrative in my work in order to bring attention to issues such as this. I think the urgency in Thunberg's speeches is powerful and it's disheartening that the world isn't taking more action in response. I also think Thunberg raises some really interesting points about the older generations leaving this crisis to the younger ones to fix, even though it is already too late.
