Academic Poster

 For this task, we were asked to create an academic poster that presented our practice. Although the final image above ended up being very simple and clean, I initially explored that idea of presenting it like a tarot card. 

However, due to time constraints and feeling like a tarot card would "box" my work in, I opted to use one of the character illustrations I had done for my ongoing graphic novel project. I thought it portrayed what my work looks like quite well and I used the text to describe the themes I am currently exploring. Due to my limited graphic design skills, I opted to keep it very simple so that it was concise and clear to anyone viewing it.  I think this also complimented the illustration, as I didn't want some of the smaller details to be overshadowed. To finish the poster off, I included a QR code that links to my online socials/instagram. In a post pandemic world, these are often the fastest and easiest way for people to find info online.
