To expand on the 5 key words I identified to describe my practice (now), I've used a word circle. I've used this to find connecting words or themes that might lead to some more research opportunities.
I've explored this exercise further my drawing a mind map. This visually shows where I have made the connections between the words, and how these can be broken down into more words to explore.
Many of these words, such as "mythical", "creatures" or "princess" could be investigated in my visual journal. Others, such as "protagonist/antagonist" or "politics" are factors that I will need to consider when forming the base of my story. Knowing that I have all these words/points to consider as I move forward will help my find synchronicity in my practice and ultimately give me a clearer idea of where my work fits contextually.
